Request an Estimate: I specialize in reupholstery of smaller antique and vintage pieces including chairs, ottomans, footstools, and settees. My favorite part of this job is collaborating with a client to envision the perfect combination and arrangement of unique and fabulous textiles to create a one-of-a-kind treasure. I enjoy thinking boldly and outside of the box. If you wish to give new life to a great old piece of furniture, contact me via email or fill out the Request an Estimate form to see if your item is a good fit for Monday Wash services. I'd love to talk about transforming it into the statement piece of your dreams!
Please note: Monday Wash is not a high-volume, high-turnover shop. I work solo and provide very personalized services including detailed consultation and in-depth communication to a handful of clients each year. As my shop space is small, I do not accept requests to reupholster sofas, sectionals or recliners. Typically, I book projects about three months out.

Examples &Testimonials
We left a pair of vintage chairs with Monday Wash for updated reupholstering, and the finished product exceeded our hopes and expectations. The fireside chairs, a family favourite handed down from our grandparents, were a green velvet, biscuit-tufted covering. From beginning to end, Monday Wash took such care with these heirlooms. Our ideas were honoured, with very helpful suggestions regarding how new fabric would complement the decor and furniture in the same room. Vision is important, and this was backed with the talent needed to restore the tufting, which only enhanced the pattern we chose. Following through with these ideas would have been enough to leave us satisfied with the restoration -- but Monica at Monday Wash went a step further. Her creative eye added a fun twist to the back of the chairs, and her craftsmanship strengthened the frame and support of the chairs. The chairs are classy, creative and very comfortable. We are thrilled with them and how they brighten our space. They are our new favourite chairs, and we find ourselves sitting in our front room even more than before.

We've worked with the amazing Monica for several years now. She reupholstered our mid-century club chairs and created a custom cushion with antique fabric for an heirloom chair, among other projects. her work is simply incredible, and she provides the utmost care to every single detail.

I purchased a chair from the Salvation Army. It was a lovely chair, but desperately needed new upholstery and the wood was beat up. Monica cleaned up the wood and re-upholstered the chair with a lovely floral pattern fabric. It has now become my favorite piece of furniture in the house. And it is definitely something to pass down to my children, and their children. Thank you, Monica, for the new heirloom for my family. We love it!!!

Monica did an awesome job reupholstering my ottoman. Not only is Monica skilled and meticulous, she used her creativity and eye for design to tie in the ottoman with our family art project. We have more than a refreshed ottoman, but a piece of furniture that is connected to our family story.
